Feedback is invaluable. With feedback, you get to know your visitor's point of view. Armed with that knowledge, you can make your site and your products ever more irresistible. But many people feel comfortable talking to you only if you provide an opening. Surveys are an excellent opening. Just say "If you were going to change the colors of this site, what colors would you choose?" and provide answers next to checkboxes or in a multi-select listbox. They click the button and you have more insight of your visitor's point of view. Doing enough of this, and looking at the answers with an open and inquisitive mind, can result in an internet business acumen many are longing for. Site visitors usually don't know your business and the limitations it might impose on your website's design and function. But they do know their own preferences, and many will gladly tell you all about them. Make your visitors comfortable. Make it easy for them. Make your site reflect your visitor's, or at least your ideal customer's, preferences and they will like you. Given a choice, they will buy from you before buying from a site they don't particularly like. The Master Survey administration program asks a few questions and generates the forms for you.
